We don't plan to attack Syria, says Olmert

Syria may be preparing for an attack from Israel, but Israel is not planning to attack Syria.

What Israel _is_ doing, is preparing for a possible Syrian attack on the Jewish state!

So asserted Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert Wednesday in an address to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

Olmert was believed to be responding to a threat Tuesday that Syria will resort to war if Israel does not relinquish the Golan Heights.
