Israel's police forces have been put on high alert in Jerusalem ahead of Friday afternoon Muslim prayer gatherings on the Temple Mount.
This is in response to the boiling situation in the Gaza Strip, where Hamas took control this week.
Fears are the violence could "spill over" into "Palestinian" areas in Samaria and Judea, as well as Jerusalem
Age restrictions have been imposed on Arabs wishing to visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in an effort to keep younger hotheads away.
The Mount is the holiest site of the Jewish people, but remains under de facto Islamic control, with Israel's authorities bound by the need to remain politically correct, and afraid of exercising sovereignty due to threatened Arab violence.
"Palestinian" terrorist organizations use the site to rally their members and incite them into readiness for an all out onslaught on Israel.
