Israeli security forces successfully terminated at least four "Palestinian" terrorists in the Gaza Strip Thursday.
Earlier, Gazan Arabs fired two Kassam rockets into the western Negev desert and also claimed to have fired mortars at Israeli soldiers.
One of the terrorists, according to "Palestinian" sources, was a 35-year-old Hamas man who was killed by tank fire. Five other people were wounded.
Israeli military officials said a helicopter fired a rocket at a man carrying an anti-tank missile. He was identified as a member of Hamas' military wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
Later, three members of the Palestine Islamic Jihad were immolated when an aircraft rocketed their jeep.
Arabs say IDF forces have been carrying out operations in southern Gaza and have commandeered a number of houses there.
The Palestinian Arabs have turned Gaza into a base for terrorist operations since Israel abandoned it two years ago.
Israel ostensibly left Gaza to the Arabs so that they could begin to construct a Palestinian state on that land.
