The United Nations should suspend or revoke Israel's membership because of the Jewish state's refusal to abide by that pro-Arab body's flood of anti-Israel resolutions over the years.
This wonderful recommendation came Thursday from the lips of rabidly anti-Israel 1976 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mairead Maguire.
It is unlikely to be taken seriously by either Israel - which feels it owes much of its legitimacy to the UN's bestowing of recognition upon it - or by the UN itself, which would have far less reason to exist if it did not have a Jewish homeland to attack.
Basking in the success of her effort, along with a mob of other protesters, to "breach" Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip terror base, Maguire said Thursday it was time for the international community to punish Israel.
