Palestinian Arab gunmen opened fire on three Jewish teenagers at a hitchhiking post near the Judean town of Hebron Friday afternoon, killing a 17-year-old boy and seriously wounding two others.

The terrorists, reportedly members of a group affiliated with PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas's ruling Fatah faction, opened fire on the defenseless teens from a passing vehicle.

The wounded, including a 14-year-old boy, were transported to Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital for emergency treatment.

Minutes later, two more Israelis were shot and lightly wounded near a Jewish settlement not far from the scene of the first attack. Security officials believe the same terrorists were involved in both shootings.

IDF forces launched a manhunt for the killers, and at press time had reportedly engaged them in an fierce exchange of gunfire south of Hebron.

Earlier in the day, ?Palestinian? terrorists shot and lightly wounded an Israeli near the Samarian town of Tulkarm. The victim was part a group of Jewish worshipers granted permission to pray at Joshua's Tomb.

The terrorists reportedly opened fire on the prayer group from the second floor of a local school. All those involved in the shooting were captured by Israeli forces.

Also Friday, an Israeli was lightly wounded when terrorists fired a mortar shell at the Gaza Jewish community of Netzarim.

Abbas and the terrorist organizations operating out of areas under his control continued to insist a much-lauded temporary ceasefire remained in place. Abbas has used the purported truce to deflect pressure to honor his commitment to disarm and dismantle the ?Palestinian? terrorist infrastructure.
