Now, before the first Jewish settlements were built in the Gaza Strip, there had never been a Palestinian Arab government in existence in Gaza, in the ?West Bank,? in fact anywhere.
Yet CNN and co. collaborate together to refer unblinkingly to all land in the Gaza Strip as ?Palestinian lands.?
On August 9, 2005, Ben Wederman filed a report from Gaza in which he said that the Israelis in Gaza would soon be off ?Palestinian lands.?
He went on to say that the Palestinian Authority was stamping on private Arab claims of ownership of the land on which stands the soon-to-be-abandoned Jewish towns. Said Wederman: According to the PA, most of the land in question, which is some of the Gaza Strip?s most prime real estate, is government- (that is PA-) owned.
I wonder when Wederman believes that they bought it, and from whom?
