Israeli kids under Kassam threat

Israeli kindergarten children are under constant threat from ?Palestinian? artillery crews that would love nothing more to score a direct hit on their classrooms, and their parents have just about had enough of the situation.

?I am very very fearful for my children. It doesn?t matter how much you guide children and tell them to put their hands over their head. A hand over the head will not protect them from a Kassam which will open a hole in the ceiling,? one mother told Ynet.

Parents in some 40 towns and villages in the vicinity of the Gaza Strip are growing increasingly concerned that the nurseries and kindergartens their children attend will be hit by ongoing ?Palestinian? rocket and mortar fire, leading to horrific casualties.

The heads of four regional councils sent a letter to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon decrying the fact the government has until now failed to provide additional promised protection for the vulnerable buildings, placing their children in unacceptable danger.

The council heads said they ?will not agree to a situation in which only casualties cause the government to react rationally.?

They were referring to the fact Israel traditionally only responds to ?Palestinian? terror in a substantial manner when Jews are killed.

Months of Gaza-based rocket fire since Israel's withdrawal from the Strip has elicited little more than tit-for-tat IDF air and artillery strikes on empty buildings, roads and fields in the PA-controlled territories.
