Just minutes after he murdered four people, Thursday's ?suicide? bomber was lionized on Voice of Palestine radio as a ?heroic martyr? - an honor typically bestowed upon the killers of Jews by not only the terrorists, but also by Israel's ?peace? partners in the Palestinian Authority.
In a translation provided by media analyst Michael Widlanski, the PA-controlled radio station said the killer has ?carried out an explosive operation? against what it termed a legitimate military target ? a checkpoint between Israeli and PA controlled areas used primarily by Arab civilians.
Despite the fact most of the victims, including three fatalities, were Palestinian Arabs, the mouthpiece of Mahmoud Abbas' regime failed to condemn the bombing.
Instead, the VOP likewise labeled the unsuspecting Arab victims as ?martyrs? in the cause of driving Israel from its biblical heartland.
Already setting the stage for condemnation of Israel's expected response, PA spokesman Nabil
Abu Rudeina said he viewed ?today's attack as something that might be used to justify Israeli aggression.?
